Parents,
We know what you're thinking. Will my kid fit in? What if they're not very good? What if they're nervous? Those are exactly the right questions — and they're exactly why Kick To Connect is built the way it is.
You want your child to love sport. But somewhere along the way the pressure crept in — comparisons, performance anxiety, not feeling good enough. You're not looking for an elite program. You're looking for somewhere they can just be themselves, make friends, and connect.
Let us reassure you
Every concern a parent or young person has before they walk through the door for the first time is a valid one. Here's what we want you to know — and if something isn't covered, please reach out. No question is too small.
Your child doesn't need experience — or talent
Everyone is learning, everyone is contributing, and everyone is welcome exactly as they are.
Football skills and life skills grow together
When a kid learns to kick accurately under pressure, they're also learning to manage nerves and back themselves. When they support a teammate through a mistake, they're building empathy and trust. The football skills and the life skills grow from the same moments.
Ability doesn't determine belonging
That includes the talented ones. Some of the most skilled young players come here to find a clearer sense of who they are. To connect genuinely with others, regardless of ability level. To discover that their value as a person isn't tied to how well they perform.
Young people with a disability are genuinely included
We don't design for the average young person and adjust for everyone else. We design for every person who comes through the door.
If your child is nervous, they're in the right place
The environment is designed so that taking a risk, making a mistake, or asking for help is normal and expected, not embarrassing. We've all been the new kid who didn't know anyone and wasn't sure they belonged. That's exactly who this is built for.
Your anxiety as a parent is valid too
If you want to chat before your child attends their first session — about what to expect, how we handle moments of struggle, or simply to feel more comfortable yourself — reach out. A parent at ease makes it a lot easier for a young person to walk through the door feeling okay.

Youth Programs
There are three ways for your child to experience Kick to Connect
— built on the same philosophy, just in a different format

Connection Clinics
Eight weekly sessions held during the school term and open to all young people aged 6–18, regardless of ability or experience. Built around the Belong → Build → Lead arc — a structured journey at their own pace.

School Holiday
Clinics
The same program, the same philosophy during the school holidays. Perfect for young people who want a taste, or can't commit to a full term.

Your Crew Clinics
Built for groups who already know each other — friends, siblings, teammates — who want to deepen that connection through football.
